The Singapore Primary Math program uses the Concrete > Pictorial > Abstract approach to learning. Each Grade requires 2 Textbooks and 2 Workbooks (A & B). Textbook and Workbook A are for the first part of the year and Textbook and Workbook B are for the second part of the year. The Intensive Practice books are available for each section as an optional supplement. They are used to enhance understanding and interest with thought-provoking problems.
If this is the first time you are using Singapore Primary Mathematics we recommend giving your child an assessment test to determine what level to start with.
You will need the corresponding Singapore Primary Math 3B Workbook along with the Textbook.
The decision to homeschool our daughter, Alexa, was an easy one. Choosing a curriculum that worked well with her goals and schedule was a little more difficult.
