Virtual
An optional online platform that enables students to access their reading schedules, take assessments, and receive instant auto-grading results. Parents can track and review student work, customize assessments, and message students directly from a computer or mobile device.
If purchased in April, May or June of this year, access to Virtual can start as early as July 1st. You will be able to start on the date of your choice up to 6 months of purchase date. Virtual courses MUST be started within 6 months of purchase. You will have 12 months from the time of your start date to complete the course.
History & Geography
With multiple books that offer a critical and readable text like Land of Hope: An Invitation to the Great American Story, The Watsons Go to Birmingham, and Iron Rails, Iron Men and the Race to Link the Nation, this level shows the great events and small happenings that coalesce into the story of our nation with interesting text, photos, and illustrations. Several other great books make up the history portion such as Forty Acres and Maybe a Mule, Which Way to the Wild West? and more. You’ll also find that we include supplemental notes in the Parent and Student Guides with additional details to help balance out points made in the books.
Literature & Language Arts
Designed to complement with History course material, the Literature and Language Arts Guide will take your students through great classics like Huckleberry Finn, The Tempest, and Fever 1973. These literary treasures will help your student’s writing abilities, vocabulary, cultural literacy, and love of learning. They will also stimulate thinking as your student encounters interesting ideas, characters, and situations. The Language Arts portion corresponds closely with the literature, offering a complete writing program that develops critical thinking skills, literary analysis, and creative writing.

Is this a high school level?
Yes, this course was developed for high school students ages 14-18. BookShark High School Levels can be used in whatever order is best for your student. BookShark's overall Scope and Sequence include three touches on Cultures, World History, and American history from Level A through high school. This level goes more in-depth to analyze worldviews, but also covers a wider range of topics than previous levels. This program also requires student-led research.
Can I use this with mulitiple children?
Yes, you can! Your students will be able to share most of the resources in the package including the Timeline Book.
Not sure if this is the right fit? Please review the options below to find a package that will work for both of your students:
If there is more than a three year age difference between your children, we recommend that you purchase a separate package for each student.
What are the “Required Resources” and why are they required?
The Required Resources include two big binders with 36-week tabs for your Parent and Student Guides, and The Timeline Book. These resources will be reused in every level of our History program and can be shared by multiple students. You will be given the option to purchase these items every time you buy an All-Subject or Reading with History Package, but you only need to buy it once.
The decision to homeschool our daughter, Alexa, was an easy one. Choosing a curriculum that worked well with her goals and schedule was a little more difficult.
